While I got hired at a rural school district last week, I get to really jump in tomorrow! I have the honor of teaching a combined 2nd and 3rd grade class, I was originally hired to serve as a roving teacher between the two elementary schools teaching 5th grade at one school in the mornings and 6th grade in the afternoons at the other. However, somethings changed and the teacher that was the 2nd/3rd teacher will be taking over the roving position and I will be teaching 2nd/3rd. I am excited for the year to come and to share along the way.
One of the most interesting things is that the school district is trying out the 4 day school week schedule to aid with budget cuts. Tuesday through Friday, I think I can get used to having Mondays off with the exception of an in-service day here and there :)
